- Payments-software developer BHMI said it has updated its Concourse Financial Services Suite to allow firms to comply with the Illinois Interchange Fee Prohibition Act, which is set to take effect July 1. The law prohibits interchange on state and local taxes and on tips.
- Galileo Financial Technologies launched Galileo Payment Method Switch, technology aimed at enabling banks and fintechs to offer customers the ability to update a default payment method on cards and digital wallets. Galileo is part of SoFi Technologies Inc.
- Deluxe Corp. launched DAX, an AI assistant for decision making, as part of its Merchant Services Daily Dashboard.
- Payments-technology provider Weave Communications Inc. announced it has closed on its previously announced $35-million deal to acquire TrueLark, an AI-based automation platform for health-care businesses. The agreement was announced May 5.
- General Motors said it is revamping its GM Rewards loyalty program to make it simpler. Meanwhile, the company said its new GM Rewards Mastercard is launching Tuesday. In October, GM announced it was switching the card’s issuer to Barclays US Consumer Bank from Goldman Sachs.
- Thumzup Media Corp., a developer of advertising campaigns, said it has adopted Stripe Inc.’s Pay with Crypto technology to enable acceptance of stablecoins as payment for Thumzup’s services.
- Pavilion Payments, a specialist in gaming transactions, named Alyssa Beaver senior vice president of sales. Her experience includes sales roles at Passport, Apriva, and Paycom.
- Financial-software firm CSI named former Metavante and FIS executive Nancy Langer president and chief executive and appointed her to its board.
