Rev Worldwide Closes Netspend Deal And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/1/23

  • Working with Searchlight Capital Partners, payments provider Rev Worldwide closed on its $1-billion all-cash acquisition of the Netspend consumer business from Global Payments Inc. Netspend is a specialist in prepaid and debit cards for more than 100,000 retail locations.
  • Payments provider Finix Payments Inc. said it is now a payment processor, having completed direct connections to the four major U.S. card networks.
  • A technology company called Tabbed has debuted to allow restaurants to accept payments via an app that opens a tab for Tabbed members and charges a pre-selected card in the background.
  • Pavilion Payments, a specialist in iGaming payments, said it has reached extended agreements with eight iGaming operators.
  • Gaming and entertainment company Maverick Gaming LLC will use PayNearMe’s MoneyLine service to offer Maverick Sports’ customers a range of payment types on one platform and integration, PayNearMe said.

  • InvoiceCloud, a unit of EngageSmart, added features to its Online Bank Direct product, including the ability to deposit by invoice type, receive funding for matched payments only, and the ability to receive single, consolidated deposits.
