Verifone’s New Boss And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/1/23

    • Payments technology provider Verifone Holdings Inc. announced Mike Kohlsdorf has joined the company as chief executive, succeeding Mike Pulli. Kohlsdorf’s background includes CEO positions with eight portfolio companies of Verifone backer Francisco Partners. Pulli has been CEO since 2018.
    • Payments technology firm Weave, a specialist in small and medium-size businesses, announced an expansion of its payments platform with the addition of mobile tap-to-pay.
    • Rewards platform Valuedynamx announced “Pay with Points,” which it says enables enterprises with points- or miles-based loyalty programs to offer more reward options through the company’s merchant partners.
    • NCR Corp. (NYSE: NCR) said Seacoast Bank has upgraded its ATM fleet using NCR’s ATM as a Service (ATMaaS) solution and has joined NCR’s Allpoint Network.
    • An Africa-based payments platform called Flutterwave announced it is now supporting transfers from the United States and Canada.
    • Mastercard Inc. chief executive Michael Miebach has been elected to the board of IBM Corp.
    • Sutton Bank, a backer of national payment card programs, said it will work with technology from Privacy Lock to meet privacy requirements in various states.
