- Restaurant-payments provider SpotOn has launched Picked for You, an AI-powered system that SpotOn says personalizes digital menus on behalf of restaurants in an effort to drive higher tickets.
- Working with Idex Biometrics, Mastercard Inc. is launching in Bangladesh its metal credit card, which includes technology supporting fingerprint authentication for in-store transactions. The issuer is Eastern Bank PLC.
- In related news, Mastercard has worked with digital-currency platform Bitget Wallet and technology provider Immersve to launch a card that lets users pay with crypto funds at any merchant that accepts Mastercard. Bitget Wallet says it has 80 million users. Immersve is a principal member of the Mastercard network.
- The United Kingdom-based marketing agency Zap has launched a payments service for merchant clients. The service is supported by pay-by-bank platform TrueLayer and card-payment platform DNA Payments, Zap says.
