Sightline Notes Investment and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/9/20

  • Sightline Payments, which provides payments for gaming companies, said it received an investment from private investment firm Searchlight Capital Partners. The amount was not disclosed. Also, Sightline cofounder and chief executive Kirk Sanford was replaced by Joe Pappano, Sightline president of Americas, who was appointed chief executive and a director of Sightline.
  • Usio Inc. said it signed a nonbinding letter of intent to acquire Information Management Solutions LLC’s assets. IMS provides electronic bill presentment and related services. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Payments-security firm Bluefin Payment Systems LLC has agreed to process payments through its PayConex gateway for 1-800 Notify, a specialist in automated health-care phone payments.
  • NCR Corp. said Best Buy Canada selected NCR’s Advanced Store Point of Sale and Loyalty software for its 175 locations.
  • Copper Enterprise Inc. has integrated its customer-relationship management software with Square Inc. to manage invoicing and payments without the need to switch applications.
  • Travel-insurance marketplace Insubuy Inc. announced it has been certified as compliant under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
  • Parking-payment app provider PayByPhone launched its PayByPhone Maps service in Miami, working with the city’s Parking Authority. The service allows users to turn on location services to find open parking spaces at any lot where PayByPhone is available.
  • Toyota Material Handling has agreed to use invoicing, payments, cash-application, and collections software from invoice-payments platform Billtrust.
  • In related news, Wells Fargo & Co. has joined with back-office software provider Bill.com to offer Bill Manager, a service that automates accounts-payable and -receivable processes for small and mid-size firms.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. launched Quick Response code payments in the United Kingdom for users of its iZettle point-of-sale app.
