- Paysafe has launched a video gaming arena, built on its PaysafeCard and PaysafeWallet products, for players, developers, and publishers. The company says the initiative is intended to widen its gaming franchise beyond payments with features such as game discovery and recommendations, rewards, promotions, and events.
- Global Payments Inc. kicked off Genius World, a three-day event in Las Vegas exhibiting the company’s Genius point-of-sale technology. The Las Vegas event, which wraps up Aug. 27, includes a Main Street mockup with storefronts demonstrating operating technology for retail, restaurant, and stadium applications. The event will make more than 40 stops around the United States.
- Digital signage provider NoviSign completed an integration with Toast Inc. to enable restaurants to connect their Toast point-of-sale menu data directly to their NoviSign digital menu displays.
- Canadian payments platform Helcim raised $53 million (US$38.3 million) in a Series C funding round led by Business Development Bank’s Growth Venture Fund.
- Stablecoin-banking provider Fasset has raised $68 million in a Series C round valuing the company at $1 billion. The round, led by SBI Group, will fund expansion of the company’s Own Network, which links banks, payments providers, and telecommunications companies to offer settlement services.
- Payments and rewards platform Bilt said it has signed the chauffeur service Blacklane, allowing users to book rides and earn points on each trip.
