- U.S. payments fintech Payoneer Inc. announced it will work with Stripe Inc. to offer an improved Payoneer Checkout service for small and medum-size merchants, starting in the Asia-Pacific region. The collaboration will enable more payment methods, including buy now, pay later from Affirm Inc. and Klarna AB and digital wallets from Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- The U.S. Payments Forum issued “Fleet Payments—A Fleet Manager’s Guide to Electric Vehicles,” an examination of the developing market in payments for EV charging for commercial fleets.
- The cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin said users of its KuCoin Pay payments service can now book hotels, reserve flights, and make other payments through a link with Umy, a travel platform specializing in digital currency.
- RMS, a hospitality-service provider for hotels and vacation rentals, has launched RMS Pay for the U.S. and Canada markets as a means of allowing property managers to automate functions such as payment requests, receipts, and reconciliation. The system has been in use in Europe and Asia, the company says.
- Such tactics as synthetic identity will drive global fraud losses to $58.3 billion by 2030, a 153% jump from $23 billion this year, forecasted Juniper Research.
- Riskified Ltd., a specialist in detecting e-commerce fraud, said it reviewed $36.4 billion in gross merchandise volume in the second quarter, up 4% from the same period last year, while revenue increased 3% to $81 million. It recorded an $11.6 million net loss, up from $9.5 million a year ago.
