NK Retail, a Sweden-based luxury department-store chain, is deploying Lightspeed Commerce Inc.’s NuORDER by Lightspeed B2B commerce platform. NuORDER by Lightspeed is aimed at helping retailers streamline wholesale buying and selling with features like virtual showrooms and order-management systems.
NK offers a broad selection of fashion, beauty, interior design, and lifestyle products from established and emerging brands. Considered a destination retailer, NK has stores in Stockholm and Gothenburg, Sweden. Each reportedly attracts millions of customers a year.
The NuORDER Assortments feature within the NuORDER by Lightspeed platform enables buyers to write orders 60% faster by eliminating such pain points as manual ordering processes, the company says. The feature also provides reporting and analytic capabilities to allow buyers and brands to make data-driven buying decisions. It also is said to improve in-store storytelling and merchandising experiences for customers, a growing trend among retailers in the Nordic region, Lightspeed says.

“By partnering with NuORDER, our buyers can work more efficiently and make better decisions, which in turn empowers our sales advisors to better serve our customers in the moment,” Karin Edgren, buying manager for NK Retail, says in a statement. “NuORDER streamlines how information flows across our teams, helping us uphold our commitment to offering the best in-store experience on the Swedish market.”
Retailers running the NuORDER by Lightspeed platform include Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Brunello Cucinelli, Rag & Bone, Acne Studios, Filippa K, and Danish fashion brand Samsøe Samsøe. Lightspeed acquired NuORDER in 2021.
