Nacha Expands ACH Tool for Small Businesses and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/29/20

  • Nacha, the automated clearing house rules maker, and its Payments Innovation Alliance, a group of corporations, third-party processors, fintechs, and financial institutions, expanded the ACH Quick Start Tool, which helps smaller businesses learn about the ACH.
  • Also, Nacha launched the Faster Payments Project Team to help organizations learn about faster payments and its capabilities.
  • Starting Jan. 1, the Bay Area Toll Authority will roll out all-electronic tolling at seven more bridges in the San Francisco metro area. The system, which has been used since 2013 at the city’s famous Golden Gate bridge, relies on cameras that capture license plate information for monthly billing.
  • Findora, a U.S. based blockchain network, said it will integrate its technology with Asian mobile-payments providers SwiftPass and Wallyt.
  • Returnly Technologies Inc., a provider of merchandise-returns technology, said returns made through its platform on Dec. 26 were more than triple those of an “average return day” in the United States.
  • Diane (Vogt) Faro, a payments-industry veteran and former chief executive of JetPay, has joined the advisory board of Acies AI, a provider of business-intelligence technology aimed at payment gateways.
