F1 Payments Adopts Corvia Moniker and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 2/14/22

  • Four-year-old payments provider F1 Payments announced it has changed its name to Corvia, effective immediately.
  • Electronic funds transfer network Shazam announced it is offering DocuCommand, a document-management service, to client banks and credit unions.
  • Mastercard Inc. said it expanded its partnership with Fearless Fund, a venture capital fund created by women of color for women of color, to fund and support Black women-owned businesses through a grant contest. Mastercard also announced a related mentorship program and access to its Trust Center Marketplace to grant recipients.
  • Shift4 Payments Inc. founder and chief executive Jared Isaacman announced Monday he purchased as many as three more flights on SpaceX rockets to outer space, according to CNBC. He first flew on a SpaceX rocket in September.
  • Payments provider Marketing 360 introduced its new cloud-based point-of-sale payment system, including the ability to book appointments as well as manage inventory and payroll.
