Eye on Acquiring: Prizeout’s e-Gift Card Integration With Square; Ingenico Teams Up With Izicap

Prizeout Corp., an adtech firm and e-gift card issuer, has partnered with Square to enable Square merchants to integrate their Square account with Prizeout’s platform. The integration will streamline e-gift settlement for Square merchants on transactions managed by Prizeout.

In addition, Square merchants will be able to make their e-gift cards available in the Prizeout storefront in a move intended to give their brands more exposure. Square sellers can download the Prizeout app through the Square App Marketplace.

Founded in 2019, Prizeout works with companies in the gaming, neobank, cryptocurrency, gig economy, payroll, and finance industries to create bonus offers on e-gift cards aimed at helping merchants attract new customers, engender customer loyalty and increase sales.

“Prizeout’s inclusion in the Square App Marketplace brings value to both parties in the Square ecosystem—the seller and the customer,” Prizeout chief executive and founder David Metz says in a prepared statement. “Sellers will be able to target gift card sales to a relevant audience, and consumers can receive an average value bonus of 12%.”

In related news, merchant-services technology company Ingenico has struck a deal with Izicap, a provider of digital marketing and loyalty solutions, to include Izicap’s app in its payments-platform-as-a-service (PPaaS). Ingenico’s PPaaS is a suite of payment and commerce services that enable merchants to manage point-of-sale terminals with third-party applications and alternative payment methods.

PPaaS, which is intended to give merchant acquirers access to a catalog of value-added services, is device-agnostic and can operate on Android and proprietary devices from Ingenico and other manufacturers, Ingenico says.

For Izicap, the partnership will speed the rollout of its app to new merchants. Izicap’s card-linked customer relationship management and loyalty platform enables small and medium merchants to use their payment transaction data to improve customer retention and generate new sources of income through personalized offers sent to consumers via vouchers and cashback rewards.
