- Diebold Nixdorf Inc. launched its Vynamic Retail Platform that includes functions such as checkout, loyalty program management, retail management, and compliance.
- Visa Inc. said it completed its $2.15 billion acquisition of Tink, an open banking platform. Announced in June, the acquisition gets Visa access to 3,400 financial institutions in Europe. Stockholm-based Tink will operate as a standalone subsidiary for the near term.
- Zil Money Corp. said it will offer what it calls “the lowest-cost credit card processing in the industry” through its partnership with Fiserv Inc.’s Clover Connect technology. Zil Money is the parent company of onlinecheckwriter.com.
- Payments provider Fortis said it is offering accounts-receivable automation through its partnership with technology provider Lockstep Receivables.
- Data Mynt, a cryptocurrency payments processor, said its cloud-based technology now enables merchant acceptance of digital currencies in-store. Rollout of the service has begun this quarter.
- Nightclub Somewhere Nowhere said it is the first in New York City to accept cryptocurrency as payment. Expected to be available soon, the service will rely on Coinbase to complete transactions.
- LawPay, a payments system for legal offices, said it is offering an integration with M&T Bank’s Nota technology, which helps law offices manage financial chores.
- During the Covid-19 pandemic, credit card debt increased for 30% of U.S. consumers, found a survey from LendingTree, an online financial services marketplace. The survey canvassed 1,249 consumers in February.
- Discover Financial Services released its “Working Toward a Brighter Future” diversity, equity, and inclusion report.
- Block Inc. said its Square merchant-processing unit launched its Square Marketing and Square Loyalty software in Ireland for merchants of all sizes.
