Diebold Nixdorf Supports Windows 10 on ATMs and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Diebold Nixdorf Inc. claims to be the first ATM manufacturer to support Microsoft Corp.’s Windows 10 operating system. Microsoft will end support of Windows 7, widely used in ATMs, in January 2020. The company also introduced Essence, an ATM user interface that includes a touchscreen, an encrypted touchscreen PIN pad, near-field communication connectivity, and an EMV chip card reader.

Wells Fargo & Co., a big merchant acquirer, has fired dozens of employees after an internal probe found bank employees pressured small businesses into credit card processing contracts they didn’t understand, as well as falsely reported sales to customers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Cachet Financial Solutions Inc., a provider of remote deposit capture and mobile prepaid card services, is changing its name to Digiliti Money Inc. under a previously announced corporate rebranding. The company also will change its Nasdaq stock exchange ticker symbol to DGLT, likely effective April 10.

Payza, a U.K.-based payments platform, said it now supports the Mexican peso for deposits to Payza, online payments, and conversion to other currencies supported by Payza, including U.S. dollars.

Payments provider Payscape said it signed up Embassy National Bank as a referral partner.

Prepaid card services provider Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc. unveiled its first Web site for businesses to buy prepaid cards as rewards in Canada.

Paybis, a digital-currency exchange, announced users can now buy Bitcoin with major-brand credit cards.

Payments provider YapStone Inc. named Sanjay Saraf as its chief technology officer. Saraf had been chief technology officer at Western Union Digital.
