Deluxe’s Payments Results And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 11/2/23

    • Deluxe Corp. reported a slight decline in third-quarter revenue year-over-year, with $537.8 million compared to $555 million for the same period in 2022. Its payments unit, its second-largest division, recorded flat revenue of $169.5 million, with its checks business posting $180 millon, down slightly from $182.4. Known chiefly as a check printer, Deluxe in 2021 acquired the big payments provider First American Payment Systems L.P. for $960 million.
    • Payments-technology provider ACI Worldwide Inc. reported $363 million in September-quarter revenue, up 19% year-over-year, as net income climbed 64% to $37.9 million.
    • Payments provider CellPoint Digital said it will work with fraud-detection firm Riskified to improve transaction-approval rates for airlines and other travel merchants.
    • Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union launched an installment-payment program for its credit card portfolio. Eligible purchases range from $100 to a penny less than $10,000.
    • Rev Worldwide said it has completed the integration of Netspend, the prepaid card specialist it acquired in May from Global Payments Inc. for $1 billion. The new name for the combined entity is Ouro.
    • Lightspeed Commerce Inc., a provider of payments services for the hospitality and other markets, reported September-quarter revenue of $230.3 million, up 25% year-over-year. Its net loss narrowed to $42.5 million from $79.9 million a year ago.
