- X said it has become the first U.S. social-media platform to embed FDIC-insured, interest-bearing accounts, a Visa debit card, and other payments services. The move arises from a link between X Money and Cross River Bank.
- Working with equipifi, a buy now, pay later platform provider for financial institutions, MIT Federal Credit Union has launched an in-house BNPL service, allowing members to pay for purchases with installment payments from their checking accounts.
- PayPal Holdings Inc. and retailer Amazon.com Inc. launched a buy now, pay later service for consumers in Germany and Austria.
- MagTek Inc. said its DynaFlex card readers and its payment gateway will support Tabit, a platform for AI-based hospitality commerce, under a new agreement in which Tabit will move its gateway processing to MagTek.
- MagTek also said it completed Level 3 certification of its Magensa payment gateway with Global Payments Canada.
- Payment terminal provider Newland Payment Technology said it will work with Futurex, a data security provider, on a hosted remote key injection service for point-of-sale terminals in North America.
- Dealer Pay, a provider of point-of-sale payments services to automobile dealers, said it has been named a preferred vendor in The Shop by FordDirect, a marketplace for dealership technologies.
- MassPay said it will process payments for Finexio, an accounts-payable platform, in Finexio’s first cross-border payments venture. The initiative will enable vendor payments in more than 180 countries and 80 currencies.
- ACI Worldwide Inc. announced its Payments Orchestration Platform will work with processor dLocal to offer global merchants access to local payment methods in Brazil and Mexico.
- Pilot Protocol, whose technology lets AI agents talk to and work with each other, said it has raised $4.5 million in seed funding in a round led by Version One Ventures.
