Corpay Unit Sold and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/6/26 

  • Payments provider Corpay Inc. said it has closed on the sale of its PayByPhone unit to Lightyear Capital. Terms were not announced. The deal will cut Corpay’s 2026 revenue by approximately $75 million relative to its February guidance, the company said, though it continues to project 10% organic revenue growth for the year as it focuses on corporate payments.
  • Payments platform WEX Inc. reported $2.7 billion in revenue for 2025, an all-time high for the 43-year-old company and up from $2.6 billion in 2024. Adjusted net income per diluted share also reached a new high at $16.10, up from 2024’s $15.28.
  • Socket Mobile Inc. said two of its barcode scanners are now compatible with the Shopify point-of-sale platform.
  • Diebold Nixdorf Inc. said FOREX, with 90 ATMs in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, is using its Branch Automation Solutions service to manage its ATM network.
  • With the onset of April as Financial Literacy MonthSezzle Inc. said it is highlighting its expansion from a buy now, pay later provider to a shopping, rewards, and financial-education platform. The company also refers to what it says is the “rapid adoption” of MoneyIQ, its financial-literacy app.
  • Unit21 Inc., a developer of AI-based fraud-detection and anti-money-laundering software, appointed co-founder and software engineer Tyler Allen chief executive.
