CleverQ Taps MagTek in Authentication Boost, While MagTek Notes Several Similar Moves

MagTek Inc., a point-of-sale equipment and security provider, starts 2026 with four partnerships.

First, it is pairing with cleverQ, an independent software vendor specializing in queuing and appointment software that will use MagTek’s Qwantum Multifactor Authentication product for its secure identity verification process. With this integration, cleverQ can verify visitors before their services start, a move that can reduce fraud, provide more security, and enable stronger compliance, MagTek says.

It ties into the MagTek DynaFlex card reader integration with cleverQ, too. A customer can choose a service at the self-service kiosk using cleverQ software and the reader can handle the payment element.

In related news, Seal Beach, Calif.-based MagTek also says InVue, a unit of Assa Abloy Global Solutions, will use the MagTek DynaFlex II Go, a wireless card reader that accepts contact and contactless payments, as part of its portable payment center service.

That service supports many tablets that use USB-C PD connectivity and targets hospitality businesses, such as bars, gaming, and retail such as pop-up events and mobile carts, and other remote or satellite setups.

In another instance, MagTek says its Magensa security and secure payment service will be part of the GrabScanGo platform. GrabScanGo produces a self-checkout platform.

The update includes reliance on the MagTek Magensa Payment Protection Gateway, which secures, tokenizes, and processes transactions from MagTek hardware, through an App clip or a mobile app. App clips are a small part of an app that allow a user to quickly perform a task, such as payments, without downloading or installing the full app and without creating an account. Apple Inc. introduced App Clips in 2017.

The fourth integration is Vault’s incorporation of the DynaFlex II Go reader into its GoWork Pro service. Vault develops mobile point-of-sale workflow systems. GoWork Pro is a case with a battery for Apple mobile devices.
