Branch’s Mastercard Payroll Card and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/11/25

  • Fintech Branch launched a payroll debit card tied to a digital bank account instead of a prepaid card, as many payroll cards are set up.
  • Schwarzwald Capital said it has invested an undisclosed amount in Vesta Corp., a transaction-guarantee platform for card-not-present payments.
  • Bitcoin transaction-verification platform Branta said it has worked with Amboss, a provider of payment technology for Bitcoin transactions, to offer risk management for Bitcoin-based payments, which are irreversible.
  • Swivel, a payments-services unit of the insurance company SWBC, launched what it calls a new stored-cards feature, which it says speeds transactions and leads to higher payment-success rates for financial-institution clients.
  • ThriveCart, a sales platform for developers of digital courses, launched Stripe Connect+, which it says is its custom integration with the payments platform Stripe Inc. The connection enables advanced checkout capability and offers more than 100 payment methods, the company says.
  • The Electronic Transactions Association released an updated version of its Web site.
