Angelpaw Debuts BNPL Option for Vet Services And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/30/22

  • Angelpaw, which provides software to track pet cremation and aquamation, launched a buy now, pay later service for these services. Interest-free installment payments are made over 60 days and the provider receive funds immediately.
  • Payroc WorldAccess LLC said its Worldnet platform is now enabled on the PAX A920 point-of-sale device as the Payroc App. The platform also is compatible with Payroc Choice, its surcharging program. Payroc also enabled Level 3 data processing.
  • Fintech PayNearMe said the number of merchants on its platform has increased 20% since January 2021, though it did not provide a total number of merchants. Its transaction volume increased 50% in the same period.
  • Recurly Inc., a subscription payments provider, said 63% of consumers would consider giving subscriptions as a gift and 70% would be interested in receiving subscriptions as gifts. The survey included 2,472 U.S. adults.
  • Inswitch, a technology provider for banking and payments, said it will work with Mastercard Inc. to develop digital-payments and issuing programs, starting in Mexico and expanding to the broader Latin American market.
  • In related news, business-to-business commerce platform Speedchain Inc. said it will work with Mastercard’s network to link Mastercard virtual payment cards to the Speedchain app.
  • The Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions association, or Wnet, has been renamed as PayTech Women. The organization has had the Wnet moniker since its 2006 founding.
  • The Merchant Risk Council, a fraud prevention association, announced its expansion into Latin America beginning in Brazil. It had expanded into the Asia-Pacific region last year.
