- In partnership with Xsolla, a provider of videogame-commerce platforms, Affirm Inc. has agreed to offer its payments options through online-game developers.
- Square, a unit of Block Inc. released its Square Handheld device in the United Kingdom. Square launched the device in May in the United States.
- Stablecoin-card issuer Rain said it will work with Toku, a specialist in supporting compensation programs based on stablecoins, to create what the partners say will be the first stablecoin-based payroll system for global companies. Rain is a principal member of Visa Inc.
- Digital-remittance platform Remitly said it has launched its International Business Payments service, which it unveiled last week. The new service extends the company’s reach beyond consumer remittances to businesses, freelancers, and other niches.
- Clearspeed, whose technology assesses risk based on voice characteristics, said it has obtained $60 million in Series D funding in a round led by Align Private Capital. The round brings the company’s total funding to $110 million.
- Payments processor FIS Inc. said it has extended agreements with Visa Inc. to ease the way for banks to offer payments and other financial services, including the ability for issuers to push their card to a customer’s digital wallet without the need for a manual app download.
- Banking technology provider ValidiFI Inc. said credit union service organization Velera will offer its automated bank account validation services to its credit union clients.
- Fintech Onramp Funds launched a program enabling independent sales organizations to partner with Onramp to provide funding to e-commerce small businesses.
- Mastercard Inc. announced its partnership with the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge in affiliation with the women’s World Cup of Tennis.
- PayPal Holdings Inc. announced Deidre Stanley, a former executive at The Estée Lauder Co., joined its board of directors.
