  • The payouts platform Onbe said it will enable instant payment on virtual Mastercard cards to consumers who want to sell unused gift cards on the CardCash secondary gift card market.
  • Buy now, pay later platform Affirm Inc. said it is expanding to self-checkout kiosks in more than 4,500 U.S. Walmart stores.
  • U.S. households spend $351 per month on utility bills, found a new report from bill-payment provider doxo. Utility bills account for 7% of consumers’ income per year. In 2022, the average monthly amount spent on utility bills was $328 and accounted for 6% of annual income.
  • XY Retail, a commerce services and point-of-sale technology seller, launched its Payment Virtualization Service that enables a unified system for in-store and online transactions.
  • The payments platform Payoneer launched updates to its Payoneer Checkout technology for online merchants, including pre-dispute alerts to avoid chargebacks, and “Native Shopify,” which is said to enable smoother checkouts for Shopify customers.
  • Payway, a card-not-present and subscription payments provider, said it is working with VCI, which had been known as Vericheck Inc., to offer improved security, integration, and efficiency to its clients.
  • Global processor Worldline launched its Food Services Payments Suite for restaurants.
  • International Money Express Inc., a remittance processor, said it will offer transfers to bank accounts and eligible Visa cards in more than 20 countries. The new service relies on Visa Direct, the card company’s instant-payments network.
