- Fiserv Inc. said it will work with OpenAI to offer AI technology to financial institutions. The effort in its opening stages includes functions such as building agents on agentOS and offering cybersecurity technology keyed to AI. Fiserv says the scope of the project is expected to expand as the effort unfolds.
- In related news, Fiserv said it has agreed to form a joint venture with private-equity firm Bridgeport Partners to run Fiserv’s ATM Managed Services, Cash & Logistics, and MoneyPass units. The units will remain part of Fiserv until the transaction closes.
- Bill payment specialist doxo released its updated bill pay app for iOS and Android mobile devices. Among its features is the Private Pay Wallet, a service that lets users pay any bill using bank accounts, credit cards, debit cards, or Apple Pay without sharing sensitive data with billers.
- Processor Nuvei Corp. will work with Syspro, a specialist in enterprise resource planning for manufacturers and distributors, to integrate payments capability in Syspro’s platform.
- Financial Center First Credit Union announced it is the first credit union in Indiana to offer a buy now, pay later payment option directly to members. The service is supported by equipifi, a payments platform specializing in financial institutions.
- Stitch, a specialist in operations and payments technology for banks, raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The round brings the company’s total funding to $35 million.
- Relish, a platform that provides real-time validation for bank accounts, including ownership and active status, has been named a Nacha Preferred Partner for Account Validation, Fraud Monitoring, and Risk and Fraud Prevention. Nacha is the governing authority for the automated clearing house network.
- Modern Treasury Corp. announced it will provide payment technology for Spritz, a fintech aimed at enabling transactions using fiat money and digital currency.
- Payments provider i2c Inc. said it and fintech CoinZoom will launch an international crypto debit card program in more than 152 countries.
- Shift4 Payments Inc. said it and cryptocurrency platform Lydian will collaborate to enable Shift4 merchants to accept the Tether stablecoin with settlement in local currency.
