Available beginning March 16, the CardFlight Inc. SwipeSimple App Marketplace will enable merchants to use curated applications to help run their businesses. In related news, fintech Jaris Inc. launched a merchant onboarding service with Aurora Payments as one of the first clients.
New York City-based CardFlight says the marketplace for its signature SwipeSimple payment-processing tool will make it easier for merchants to run their businesses.
The first three apps in the marketplace are QuickBooks Online Sync, which pushes transactions from SwipeSimple to the accounting software; Appointments, which enables the merchant to offer a merchant-branded booking Web site, scheduling widget, confirmations, and calendar integrations; Text Loyalty & Reviews, a tool to automate loyalty and reviews delivered through text messaging.

CardFlight says the marketplace is available to existing and new merchants. It currently tallies more than 125,000 merchants using SwipeSimple.
And acquirers have a new tool to aid their merchant-onboarding processes with the debut of the Jaris onboarding utility.
Burlingame, Calif.-based Jaris says the new service employs artificial intelligence and automation to speed the onboarding process, especially in the underwriting stage while providing clients with real-time tracking of the application. It includes automated verification for know your business, know your customer, and bank-account validation.
Las Vegas-based Aurora Payments is one of the first acquirers to adopt the Jaris technology, joining JustiFi and WestTown Payments, a unit of Dart Bank. In a Jaris statement, Aurora Payments says the automation and AI aspects have improved its onboarding workflow. “The platform eliminates the traditional back-and-forth of error correction, allowing us to onboard merchants with confidence and get them processing faster,” says Alan Gibbon, Aurora Payments senior vice president of risk management.
