- Domain-name registrar GoDaddy Inc. said an integration with the MuleSoft Agent Fabric from Salesforce Inc. is intended help companies pinpoint AI agents and establish their identity before they get access to companies’ sensitive data.
- Advent International said it has agreed to sell two payments companies, Newpay and Group Prisma, to Visa Inc. Terms were not announced. Prisma is an issuing processor operating in Argentina. Newpay offers payments technology, including real-time account-to-account payments, in the same country.
- The UATP payments platform said it is working with Mica, a provider of technology that enables credential-less payments, to help merchants allocate a single booking to several payment types within a single transaction, without slowing settlement.
- A Hong Kong-based technology firm called Humanity Protocol Foundation Ltd. said it is introducing proof of trust technology to allow online firms to verify and prove user data in the face of AI agents. Organizations are not required to collect, store, or expose personal data, according to the company.
- The Western Union Co. reported slightly more than $1 billion in revenue for its December quarter, down 5% year-over-year, and $4.05 billion for the year, a 4% drop. Net income for the quarter fell 70% to $114.4 million; for the year, it slid 47%, to $499.6 million. The company said it expects to close on its $500-million cash acquisition of International Money Express inc. in the second quarter. The deal was announced Aug. 10, 2025.
- Badge, a developer of technology used to create digital wallets, said it raised $17.1 million in funding in two separate rounds, including a $13.8 million Series A and a previously unannounced $3.3 million seed round.
