Worldpay And Agentic Commerce and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/29/25

  • The big processor Worldpay announced it will support the Agentic Commerce Protocol, a standard that allows artificial-intelligence agents to work with buyers and businesses to complete transactions.
  • The processor Fiserv Inc. reported third-quarter revenue of $5.26 billion, a 1% year-on-year increase. Year-to-date revenue rose 4.6% to $15.9 billion. Net income for the quarter totaled $792 million, up 40% year-over-year; for the year to date, $2.67 billion, up 22% year-on-year.
  • Fiserv also announced the appointment of special advisor Paul Todd to the office of chief financial officer, succeeding long-time CFO Robert Hau, who will serve as a senior advisor through March. Also, Takis Georgakopoulos and Dhivya Suryadevara will serve as co-presidents. Georgakopoulos is currently chief operating officer for technology and merchant solutions. Suryadevara was most recently  CFO at Optum Financial Services.
  • In related news, Fiserv said it will switch its common stock to the Nasdaq from the New York Stock Exchange, effective Nov. 11.
  • The U.S. billing and payments company CSG Systems International Inc. has agreed to be acquired by Japan’s NEC Corp. for $2.9 billion. The transaction is expected to close next year.
  • The restaurant point-of-sale technology provider Toast Inc. said it has added a conversational AI assistant to its Toast IQ intelligence array of services.
  • Law firms that use Elite Payments, an invoicing service, can offer clients installment-payment service through an alliance between Elite and Slope, a risk platform based on artificial intelligence, the parties announced.
  • Circle Internet Group Inc. announced musician Wyclef Jean has joined the company as global culture advisor, a role in which he will promote Circle’s USDC stablecoin starting next year.
