Vantiv To Offer Womply Data Services and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Merchant processor Vantiv Inc. announced it will work with data-science specialist Womply to offer Vantiv BizShield and Insights, a service for small and medium-sized merchants that offers real-time data, advanced analytics, online reputation management, and threat management.

• Processor Global Payments Inc.’s Campus Solutions unit has introduced TouchNet OneCard VIP, which manages access to campus facilities, meal plans, and recreational events, tracks student activity and attendance, and validates campus credentials.

• JPMorgan Chase & Co. reported merchant-processing volume of $274.3 billion in the first quarter, up 11% from $247.5 billion a year earlier. Sales volume on Chase’s debit and credit cards increased 11% to $208.4 billion, and the active mobile-banking customer count rose 14% to 27.3 million.

• Boosted by its new Visa cobranded card for Costco Wholesale Corp., Citigroup Inc. reported first-quarter purchase volume of $72.5 billion in its North American portfolio of Citi-branded cards, up 58% from $45.9 billion a year earlier.

• Wells Fargo & Co. reported $75.7 billion in debit card purchase volume for the first quarter, up 4% year-over-year. Credit card purchases grew 3% to $17.9 billion.

• Glance Technologies Inc. introduced Glance Pay Anywhere, a system that enables its merchant partners to bill customers and receive payments through the Glance Pay mobile app.

• Payments technology provider Infinite Peripherals said its InfineaPay mobile EMV payment application and its associated semi-integrated technology have been certified by First Data Corp.

• Remitly, a U.S.-based digital-remittance company, said it has expanded into the United Kingdom, which is now its third “send” country after the U.S. and Canada.

• Yardi, a vendor of property-management software, launched its CommercialCafe Tenant app, which features a portal for tenants to make lease payments and make maintenance requests. The app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

• B2 Payment Solutions Inc. has launched a revamped Web site allowing clients to order products online, learn more about electronic payments, and access a customer portal.

• A U.K.-based startup called SmartBill has introduced a robot that locates, tracks, and manages consumers’ bills to automatically find and cancel unwanted subscriptions and related payments.
