- Independent sales organization VizyPay LLC launched a cash-discount app for Fiserv Inc.’s Clover point-of-sale systems; the app, an extension of VizyPay’s cash-discount program, is available in the Clover App Market.
- MoneyGram International Inc. reported a doubling of its digital-transaction volume in May from May a year ago. Growth in this category in the first quarter was 57%.
- Payments-technology provider Authvia launched a text-to-pay platform upgrade to enable its resellers to more quickly bring a form of contactless payments to their clients.
- Apifiny Asset Network Inc. launched Roxe, said to be the first settlement network to enable instant worldwide clearing and settlement for payments. The network, which settles both traditional and digital assets, relies on blockchain technology.
- Payments-technology provider Galileo Financial Technologies said it will support a service from Qube Money LLC that allows consumers to activate a debit card in real time before making a purchase, with the aim of supporting intentional spending. Galileo reached an agreement in April to be acquired by Social Finance for $1.2 billion.
- Financial-technology provider XTM Inc. said it will install cash-accepting kiosks in retail stores, stadiums, and shopping malls to dispense prepaid Mastercard cards in a deal with DCBank.
- In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the ATM Industry Association announced its “ATM & Cash Revival Plan” that includes a continuation of its fight to ban cashless stores and its development of ATM hygiene and safety protocols.
- Xomi Inc., which does business as Chargeback and provides a software-as-a-service dispute-management platform, raised $6.6 million in a Series A1 funding round led by Fintop Capital and Next Frontier Capital, with participation from existing investors that include Next Coast Ventures and Kickstart Fund. Chargeback will use the funding for business development.
- Klarna Bank AB launched a customer-loyalty program called Vibe. The no-fee program debuted in the United States in June and will be available in some European markets within the next year.
- Conformance Technologies Inc. said payments provider Atlantic Pacific Processing Systems is using the Conformance PreComm ToolKit for real-time underwriting and risk management.
