Truist First with RTP’s Alias-Based RFP and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/25/25

  • Truist Financial Corp. said it is the first financial institution to use an alias-based request for payment utility on the RTP network, the real-time payments service from The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC. The service is available for both corporate and individual customers, Truist said.
  • POSaBIT Systems Corp., a point-of-sale maker for cannabis retailers, reported $15.3 million in 2024 revenue, down 65% from $43.6 million in 2023. POSaBIT said 2023 was a turbulent for the cannabis industry at large. It’s annual loss of $5.7 million narrowed from a $13.8 million loss in 2023.
  • Dream Payments debuted its DreamPay Insurance Payment Hub, a two-way insurance payment network that uses pay-in and pay-out rails from J.P. Morgan Payments.
  • The fintech Flex said it has acquired Maza, provider of a payments app aimed at Spanish-speaking consumers and businesses. As a result, Maza will be renamed Flex Consumer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  • Business-to-business payments provider Alternative Payments said it has closed on a $22-million financing led by MissionOG and Third Prime.
  • Phixius by Nacha, a peer-to-peer information network, announced a collaboration with Kinexys Link, a peer-to-peer data sharing network that is part of Kinexys from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
  • Nacha, the regulatory body for the automated clearing house network, tabbed LexAlign PBC as a preferred partner for risk and fraud prevention.
  • The multiple-listing service Resides said it has named digital-payments platform Earnnest to handle transactions initiated by Resides subscribers.
  • Paypaya Global Ltd., a payroll and payments provider, named Erez Simha chief financial officer and Amit Levi chief product officer.
