- Restaurant point-of-sale specialist Toast Inc. announced its December-quarter gross payment volume grew 22% year-on-year to $51.4 billion, while total locations reached 164,000, up 22%, and net income totaled $101 million, more than triple the sum a year earlier. For the full year, GPV totaled $195.1 billion, up 23%, while net income swelled to $342 million from $19 million in 2024. Revenue for the quarter was $256 million, up 28%; for the year, $936 million, up 33%.
- Payment-technology provider Basys Processing Inc. has issued an integration for QuickBooks allowing users of the accounting software to weave payment links directly into their invoices.
- China’s Alipay digital-payments service announced AI Pay, an agentic-commerce platform it launched last year, processed more than 120 million transactions in the past week. The company claims it is the first such service to reach that number in a week’s time.
- Shaler Alias, a cofounder and president of the processor Repay Holdings Corp., will leave the company and step down from its board of directors effective Feb. 27, Repay announced. The company said it has no immediate plans to appoint a successor as president.
