Payroc Launches PayByCloud in a Move to Simplify Processing for ISVs

Payments-platform provider Payroc LLC has launched PayByCloud, low-code, semi-integrated technology for independent software vendors that establishes a cloud-based connection between Payroc’s application hosted on a payment device and the Payroc gateway.

PayByCloud is intended to eliminate the friction of connecting software to payment devices in the cloud, without the need for lengthy device testing and the need to invest in software integration, the company says.

Low-code technology allows developers to quickly build applications by reducing the need to write code. Semi-integrated solutions separate a point-of-sale system from the POS terminal while allowing them to exchange data.

Processor Payroc looks to do away with friction in cloud-based links between software and terminals.

“PayByCloud marks the pinnacle of integrated payments, making processing easier and more frictionless,” Casey Conley, Payroc’s chief product officer, says in a statement. “With a low code, semi-integrated approach and a cloud-based connection, PayByCloud eliminates the complexities of traditional integrations.”

PayByCloud supports a variety of devices, including Ingenico’s AXIUM line and PAX A80 POS terminals. As additional POS devices are made compatible with PayByCloud, ISVs will be able to add new POS devices or upgrade existing devices without the need to reintegrate, the parties say. In addition, ISVs operating internationally in the United Kingdom can leverage PayByCloud for seamless payment processing, Payroc says.

Founded in 2003, Tinley Park, Ill.-based Payroc processes $80 billion in annual volume for more than 151,000 merchants. The company ranks 17th among U.S. merchant acquirers by volume, according to TSG, a payments consultancy and research firm.
