- Parking-app provider ParkMobile LLC announced an agreement with the city government in Memphis, Tenn., and with parking-lot manager Premium Parking to offer mobile payments for parking on several city blocks in commercial districts, expanding ParkMobile’s presence in the city. Earlier this month, European parking-technology firm EasyPark Group announced its plan to acquire ParkMobile.
- Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems NV Corp. said Merulo Media will use APPS to process advertiser payments. Merulo operates radio and TV stations in Southern California.
- RevoluGroup Canada Inc. said it has integrated Alipay and Union Pay into its RevoluPay mobile-payments app and its RevoluSend remittance app.
- A special meeting is scheduled for March 25 for shareholders in Foley Trasimene Acquisition Corp. to approve FTAC’s $9-billion acquisition of processor Paysafe Group Holdings Ltd. FTAC, a so-called special purpose acquisition company, announced its deal for Paysafe in December.
- Payments provider Net Element Inc. issued a letter to shareholders assuring them that the company is working “diligently” on a merger with electric-vehicle manufacturer Mullen Technologies, announced in December and now expected to be completed by March 31.
- Buy now, pay later specialist Afterpay Ltd. launched Clearpay, the European version of its service, in Spain and France, where merchants will start offering it later this month.
