Nuvei’s Latest Move and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/31/25

  • The processor Nuvei said it has expanded its global clearing and settlement services into the U.S. and Canadian markets.
  • Mastercard Inc. reported second-quarter net revenue of $8.1 billion, up 17%, with net income of $3.7 billion, a 14% rise.
  • Lightspeed Commerce Inc. reported June-quarter revenue of $304.9 million, up 15% from the same period last year, with transaction-based revenue of $204.6 million, up 18%. Its net loss widened to $49.6 million from $35 million.
  • Visa Inc. has made moves to support more stablecoins, with the addition of Global Dollar (USDG) and PayPal USD (PYUSD) and by adding two blockchains, Stellar and Avalanche. Visa says it already supports the Ethereum and Solana chains. The network said it has also integrated the EURC euro-backed stablecoin from Circle Internet Financial.
  • Car IQ, a developer of payments technology for automobiles and other vehicles, said it has engaged Financial Technology Partners to lead its capital-raising efforts.
