New Visa Direct Partners and other Digital Transactions News briefs

Visa Inc. announced five key person-to-person payment integrations for its Visa Direct faster-payments system, which requires Visa issuers to make funds available to cardholders within 30 minutes. These include: Jack Henry & Associates for JHA Payment Solutions, Fidelity National Information Services for its People Pay service, Stripe Inc. for its Instant Payouts feature, Hyperwallet for its JavaScript Widget payout application, and Ingo Money for Ingo Instant Payments.

In related news, Visa said it is using blockchain technology from Chain Inc. in its Visa B2B Connect service that will enable a near real-time transaction system for the exchange of high-value international payments between banks on behalf of their corporate clients.

The Electronic Transactions Association published its guidelines for payment facilitators.

Electronic document-management provider DocuSign Inc. launched DocuSign Payments, a service expected to be released in early 2017 that enables businesses to collect payments and signatures as part of the same agreement process. DocuSign says processor Stripe is a partner in the service, and it’s supported by Apple Inc., Google, and Visa’s Authorize.net.

Vantiv Inc. announced it is the first merchant processor to offer the new Verifone Carbon Commerce Platform, a tablet-based point-of-sale system.

The 2016 Q3 Mobile Insights Report from mobile-commerce platform provider Mobify found that 44% of mobile checkouts are abandoned because of consumer issues at login, in entering shipping and billing information, and in the order-review section.

Payment gateway Shif4 Corp. announced joint EMV-certified products from it and Mi9 Retail are available for retailers.

Entrepreneur Adam Dell, brother of computer-industry mogul Michael Dell, launched Clarity Money, a mobile app to help consumers with personal finance decisions.

Marqeta Inc. has given developers direct access to its payment card platform.
