Mastercard’s Alipay Tie-in and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/23/25

  • Mastercard Inc. is working with Alipay+, Ant International’s wallet, to introduce near-field communication capability for overseas transactions on Kakao Pay, a mobile wallet in South Korea.
  • In related news, Mastercard launched its Global Reach Partner Program, aimed at easing expansion into new markets for merchants through consulting and advice.
  • Paga Group, an African fintech based in the United Kingdom, announced it is expanding into the U.S. market by enabling U.S. bank accounts for Africans resident in the U.S. The accounts feature Visa debit cards with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Plaid capability.
  • Fortis Payment Systems LLC announced it is supporting tap-to-pay on iPhone, a contactless-payments technology from Apple Inc.
  • Input 1, which provides billing and payments capability to the insurance industry, said it is working with INTX Insurance Software to offer integrated billing and payments services to carriers and managing general agents.
  • OrderMyGear launched OMG Presentations & Order Management, which among other capabilities manages payments for sellers of branded merchandise.
  • Syniverse Corp. said it has agreed to use its global-messaging architecture to support text-based payments managed by Authvia, a developer of payments software.
