- International payments provider Klarna Bank AB acquired Inspirock, an online trip planner used by 25 million customers annually. Terms were not disclosed.
- In related news, Klarna said it is working with software-as-a-service platform provider Wix.com Inc. to enable Wix’s e-commerce merchants in 17 countries to accept payments through Klarna.
- Processor Lightspeed Commerce Inc. expanded its Lightspeed Capital program to U.S. customers as well as merchants served by Upserve, ShopKeep and Vend, which Lightspeed has acquired.
- Arvest Bank has joined the U.S. Faster Payments Council. The announcement comes on the heels of Arvest’s acceptance into the Federal Reserve’s FedNow pilot program.
- Buy now, pay later specialist Affirm Holdings Inc. said its service is now accepted by sportswear and accessories retailer Theory LLC.
- Cellfie, a mobile-payment technology unit of Ant & Bee Corp., said it is launching its SoftPOS solution in South Korea. The technology lets merchants accept NFC card transactions on off-the-shelf mobile devices.
- Alerus Financial Corp. announced three new members of its board of directors, including former Nacha CEO Janet Estep.
- Sutton Bank appointed payments and fintech veteran executive Robert C. Keil as senior vice president, chief payments officer.
