HungerRush, a provider of point-of-sale and online-ordering systems for restaurants, has launched the Grubhub Marketplace integration for its POS platform. The Grubhub Marketplace integration allows restaurants to “reduce technology clutter” by receiving Grubhub orders directly from the HungerRush POS platform, HungerRush says.
The integration also enables orders from DoorDash and Uber Eats to flow directly into the HungerRush POS system, eliminating the need for separate integrations and terminals for each delivery service, HungerRush says.
The ability to receive orders placed through third-party delivery services via a single connection improves staff efficiency, HungerRush says. In addition, the Grubhub Marketplace integration provides real-time inventory updates and menu availability, reduces order errors, and ensures accurate information across all of a restaurant’s platforms.
“Having all our marketplace orders come through one POS system, including Grubhub, has simplified our processes and improved order accuracy,” James Ryan, franchise owner of Flippin’ Pizza says in a statement. “The integration has helped us streamline our operations, eliminate third-party services, and reduce complexity—allowing us to focus more on what matters: serving our customers.”
In related news, delivery service DoorDash Inc. is rolling out its preferred-integrations program, which provides real-time visibility into how different point-of-sale and middleware providers perform on the DoorDash platform, as well as the features they support. Those insights can help restaurants select the software provider that offers the best fit for their business.
The program, which DoorDash says was developed in cooperation with integration partners and following direct feedback from merchants, is part of DoorDash’s “commitment to improving operational transparency and driving better outcomes for merchants,” the delivery service says.
To qualify for the program, integration providers must meet key performance benchmarks, including order and error rates below 1%, and offer features that directly benefit merchant operations, such as self-serve onboarding, real-time menu sync, live item availability, and order-ready notifications.
The initial group of preferred integration partners includes Checkmate, Chowly, ChowNow, Deliverect, Otter, PAR Technology Corp., Qu, Square Inc., Stream, Toast Inc., and UrbanPiper, representing some of the most reliable integration providers on the DoorDash platform today.
“Merchants have told us that choosing the right tech partner can be overwhelming, especially when trying to understand which integrations will work best for their store, team, and customers,” Ruth Isenstadt, head of U.S. restaurants for DoorDash, says in a statement. “We want every merchant to feel confident in the decisions they make and to know they’re supported.”
