HSBC Looks to Validifi and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/27/25

  • Banking and financial-services provider HSBC has opted to use account-validation and risk-detection services from Validifi Inc. to verify account ownership and detect fraudulent payment attempts on bank accounts used to pay credit card balances, Validifi says.
  • One Inc, a payments platform serving insurance companies, said it has launched its ClaimsPay service, with availability through the Guidewire Marketplace in the fall of next year. Guidewire provides assistance for technology integrations in the insurance industry.
  • Point-of-sale technology provider SurgePays Inc. said it will work with QorPay Inc., a payments technology provider, to build SurgePays’ marketing platform into QorPay’s payment-processing software.
  • Chargebacks911 and its sister company, Fi911, have launched their Unified Dispute Management System, a platform aimed at bringing together dispute-related data and workflows into a single platform aimed at merchants, acquirers, payfacs, fintechs, issuers, and customers of those companies.
  • Jefferson Capital Inc. announced a subsidiary has agreed to acquire a credit card portfolio from Bluestem Brands for $302.8 billion. Jefferson Capital has also agreed to enter into an interim servicing agreement to support the transition of the portfolio.
  • Alpha Modus Holdings Inc. said it plans to launch before the end of the quarter its AlphaCash network of financial-services kiosks capable of executing payments and other transactions and aimed at unbanked and underbanked persons. The company has appointed Puneet “Pete” Vij vice president of technology to oversee the rollout.
  • Toast Inc., a provider of point-of-sale technology for restaurants, has appointed Anu Bharadwaj to its board of directors. Bharadwaj is president of Atlassian Corp., a software company.
