Flexible Finance’s Bank Option and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/27/26

Flexible Finance Inc. announced it has submitted applications to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Utah Department of Financial Institutions for a charter for Flex Bank, a Utah state-chartered industrial bank. Flexible Finance is the company behind Flex Rent, which says it has processed more than $40 billion in rent payments for more than 3.2 million renters since 2019.
Circle Internet Group Inc. said it has acquired a portfolio of blockchain patents from IBM. The portfolio includes more than 680 patent families and almost 1,000 issued patents globally. With the deal, Circle said it has the lead in blockchain patent holdings. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Cross-border payment-technology developer WonderGate has launched its Payment SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform, which it says supports payments services and merchants in creating global acquiring capability.
Bidadoo, an auction platform for trucks and used equipment, has launched Snapshot by bidadoo, a mobile app allowing equipment owners to list machines and collect payment.
