Fiserv’s New Platform-as-a-Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/26/21

  • Independent software vendors can integrate technology directly into Fiserv Inc.’s Clover point-of-sale terminals under Fiserv’s new platform-as-a-service program, the company announced.
  • Processor Usio Inc. signed an agreement with independent software vendor BoosterHub LLC that will integrate Usio’s payment services into BoosterHub’s cloud-based software for thousands of school booster clubs.
  • Payment gateway Cardknox Inc. said its processing capabilities can be integrated with third-party apps for mobile payments with the company’s launch of an upgraded Cardknox mobile app to go with the VP3300 mobile card reader from ID Tech.
  • Card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc., working with Amount Inc., a banking technology provider, unveiled what they say is the first virtual card and loan-origination program aimed at helping banks quickly enter the buy now, pay later market.
  • Mastercard Inc. launched a card standard for blind and partially sighted people, called the Touch Card.
  • Card-based payment platform Moca Financial Inc. said it has added a feature to help Moca cardholders access payroll funds early.
  • Payments provider Paysafe Ltd. said it is supporting payments for online betting platform PlayUp.
  • Banking services and prepaid card provider Green Dot Corp. named George Gresham as chief finance and operating officer, and a member of Green Dot’s board of directors. Gresham served on the boards of both Green Dot and Green Dot Bank from 2016 to 2019, and was CFO of prepaid card provider NetSpend Holdings Inc. from 2010 to 2013.
