FIS Posts 4Q Revenue Growth and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Processor Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) reported its revenue grew 30.4% in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, to $2.4 billion, from $1.9 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. Net earnings from continuing operations increased to $207 million from $105 million. For the year, revenue jumped 40.1%, to $9.2 billion, and earnings totaled $567 million, down from $639 million in 2015.

• Jumio Inc., a provider of identity-verification technology, added Web and mobile document verification to its Netverify product line.

• Merchant processor JetPay Corp. said it has entered into a six-year agreement to process payments for the state of Illinois’s E-Pay online-payment program, in which about 600 state and local agencies participate and which is expected to generate more than $600 million in payments annually.

• Transaction Network Services Inc. introduced TNS Call Guardian, which works on both wireline and wireless systems to detect caller ID spoofers and other forms of robocalling.

• MoneyOnMobile, a U.S.-based mobile-payments service, said its processing volume in India increased 119% in the weeks following the Indian government’s decision to demonetize the 500 and 1,000 Rupee notes.

• Loyalty-platform provider Punchh said it added 12 restaurant brands as clients in the last quarter of 2016, including El Pollo Loco, Pieology, Smashburger, and Veggie Grill. The company now counts 70 restaurant chains as clients.

• Mastercard Inc. announced a promotion for its Masterpass online-payments service linked to next Sunday’s 59th Annual Grammy Awards that includes access to special offers for $1.

• Merchant processor Paysafe Group Plc appointed former PayPal Holdings Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. executive Oscar Nieboer as the company’s first chief marketing officer. Paysafe, operator of the Neteller and Skrill payments platforms, was known as Optimal Payments Plc until November 2015.
