- Financial-technology provider Finastra said it is incorporating Visa Direct, a real-time push-payment capability developed by Visa Inc., as a cross-border payout offering for banks.
- Coinsquare, a crypto asset trading platform based in Canada, said it has agreed to acquire Simply Digital Technologies Inc., owner of the CoinSmart trading platform and a unit of CoinSmart Financial Inc. Terms were not announced.
- PracticeTek, a payments provider specializing in health care, announced it has acquired GrowthPlug, a marketing platform for medical practices. Terms were not announced.
- The three major credit-reporting agencies—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—announced they are extending to the end of 2023 the availability of free credit reports to U.S. consumers.
- The law firm Latham & Watkins LLP has released its “Book of Jargon,” containing definitions of terms used with respect to blockchain, cryptocurrency, and Web3 matters.
- The hotelier Marriott Bonvoy launched two additional cobranded credit cards, the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy American Express card and the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful card from Chase.
- Greg Castro has joined payments provider PayTrace as president. Castro comes to the company from EVO Payments, and before that worked for Mercury Payments.
