- Datacap Systems Inc. launched Virtual Gift, a platform that enables users to create branded, consumer-facing digital gift card storefronts. Gift card purchases can be shared via a link, QR code, or embedded directly into merchant Web sites.
- InComm Payments’ health-care unit is working with the University of Kentucky’s HealthCare’s Food as Health initiative to offer food cards to residents in Kentucky facing food insecurity. The health-plan-branded cards come preloaded with funds that can be used only to buy produce, whole grains, and other approved items. UK HealthCare operates hospitals and clinics linked to the University of Kentucky.
- DLocal Ltd., a Uruguay-based processor with major clients in the U.S. market, reported March-quarter payment volume of $14.1 billion, up 73% year-over-year. Revenue grew 55% to $335.9 million, though growth was flat compared to the fourth quarter. Net income dipped 10%, to $41.9 million.
- Cryptocurrency-wallet developer Bitget Wallet has named former Uber executive Jack Zhai head of its Americas unit as the company looks to quicken its expansion in that regional market.
