Costco, Mattress Firm Pick Affirm and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/14/25

  • Affirm Inc. announced deals for its buy now, pay later service to be available at Mattress Firm and at Costco Wholesale. Mattress Firm says it is the largest mattress retailer in the U.S. market, with more than 2,200 locations.
  • India-based Zoho Corp. entered the U.S. market with the launch of Zoho Payments, which supports cards and automated clearing house transactions.
  • The commerce platform Shopify Inc. said it has reached a three-year renewal of its contract with Global-e Online, a technology platform supporting worldwide e-commerce aimed at consumers.
  • In a March survey conducted by GoDaddy Consumer Pulse, half of GenZ respondents indicated they prefer buy now, pay later, self-checkout, online shopping, and other methods that allow them to avoid interacting with other people. Fewer than one in three GenX and Baby Boomer respondents indicated the same thing. The survey canvassed 1,500 U.S. consumers.
  • The United States comes in ninth out of 16 countries in the inaugural Digital Economy Trust Index from Checkout.com, with China finishing first. The index, based on responses from 18,000 consumers in 16 countries, ranks nations according to how consumers view security, transparency, and user experience with respect to digital processes.
  • The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit launched Bybit Pay globally, after an earlier launch in Brazil. The service supports 15 digital currencies. Bybit is the world’s second largest crypto exchange, after Binance, according to CoinMarketCap.
  • Deluxe Corp. said it will process transactions for MyKidReports, a supplier of software for childcare-management centers.
  • E-commerce risk-management platform Riskified Ltd. reported its March-quarter revenue climbed 8% to $82.4 million. Its net loss widened 19%, to $13.9 million.
