Coinqvest Debuts Crypto Processing Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/21/20

  • Coinqvest launched its enterprise cryptocurrency processing platform. With it, merchants can be paid online in cryptocurrencies and convert them into traditional currencies.
  • The New York City Department of Transportation announced two apps can be used to pay for parking at more than 80,000 metered spots. In addition to the ParkNYC app, which has been available since 2016, motorists can now use ParkMobile. Meters continue to accept coins and payment cards, but the department is promoting electronic payment, in part to lessen the need to physically service meters.
  • A run-up in Ottawa, Ontario-based Shopify Inc.’s stock price made the e-commerce and payments provider Canada’s second-biggest company by market value on Monday, Bloomberg reported.
  • Nacha, the automated clearing house’s governing body, added Forte as a preferred partner for government-agency ACH payment gateways.
