Convenience store chain Circle K is migrating its electric vehicle charging network to Driivz, a service that includes scalable EV charging billing.
Tel Aviv-based Driivz says the network includes more than 600 public EV charging stations in Europe and North America. Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., parent company of Circle K, says it operates 9,087 convenience stores in North America.
Driivz says its service includes software for optimizing charging operations, management devices, billing, and analytics. Among Circle K’s must-haves during the evaluation process was support for cross-border payments, multiple currencies and tariffs, reconciliation, and international roaming.
Driivz says its EV charging billing enables providers to earn revenue and monetize EV charging. These providers can set their own pricing plans, including flexible pricing determined by factors such as time of day and charging speed. “Once the EV charging period ends, EV owners are charged for their charging session via credit cards, debit cards, prepaid or postpaid,” Driivz says.
Driivz will use application programming interface coding to integrate with Circle K’s existing mobility platform and with energy distribution and transmission systems.
