SpotOn Integrates Poynt Terminal and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/18/19

  • SpotOn Transact LLC said it will integrate Poynt Inc.’s smart point-of-sale terminal into its platform. SpotOn said it is the first to work with Poynt to integrate loyalty, marketing, and POS software directly into the terminal hardware.
  • Synchrony Financial expanded the merchant categories eligible to accept its Synchrony Car Care credit card, which now includes more than 500,000 locations across 25 merchant types.
  • Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe adopted b4checkin’s hospitality point-of-sale system.
  • ACI Worldwide said its new alliance with Text, a unit of Marketing Response Solutions LLC, will enable consumers to review and pay bills from ACI clients via text messages.
  • Consumers using Visa Inc.-branded payment cards at Hudson Yards, a massive new development in New York City, can experience unique benefits, such as private tours and a secret menu item at a restaurant.
  • RevSpring Inc., which specializes in health-care payments, named Scott MacKenzie chief executive and a member of its board of directors. MacKenzie previously was CEO of M*Modal, a clinical-documentation company. He replaces the retiring Rahul Gupta, who remains on RevSpring’s board.
