Atomic Launches PayDirect and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/31/25

  • The fintech Atomic Financial announced its launch of PayDirect, a service that it says lets consumers view, manage, and pay bills directly from a bank or fintech app.
  • Zip Co Ltd., a payments-app developer, announced it is working with Forage Technology Corp., a processor for government benefits, on a plan to waive fees in the Zip app for consumers affected by the federal government shutdown who need to make installment payments for groceries.
  • The online retailing giant and payments-technology platform Amazon.com Inc. reported third-quarter net sales rose 13% year-on-year to $180.2 billion, with sales in North America increasing 11% to $106.3 billion. Net income rose 39% to $21.2 billion. Amazon earlier this month introduced a new online checkout option, Buy with Prime, at Dearfoams, a maker of slippers, and at Baggallini, a seller of travel and lifestyle handbags.
  • Fourvenues, a Spain-based provider of payments and other operating technology to nightclubs, said it is entering the U.S. market, with new offices in Miami and New York.
  • Technology developer Conduent Inc. announced it has appointed former Deloitte U.S. chairman Michael J. Fucci to its board of directors, effective Monday.  Earlier this month, the company’s Conduent Transportation unit contracted to create a pay-by-plate toll-collection platform for the Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Virginia.
