  • Discover Financial Services said it will file restatements of “certain prior period financial statements” and will “as soon as practicable” after that conduct a special stockholder meeting to vote on the company’s proposed merger with Capital One Corp. The proposed merger was announced early this year.
  • Vault, a Canada-based financial platform, has initiated money transfers via the e-Transfer feature offered by Interac, the country’s national payments network.
  • Nuvei Corp. will process deposits and payouts for Betly, an online casino and sports-betting platform operated in West Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ohio by Delaware North Gaming.
  • Affirm Inc. will provide buy now, pay later service to JD Sports, a retailer of sports and outdoor brands.
  • Amazon.com Inc. has added the retailer SteveMadden.com to its Buy with Prime service, which allows Amazon Prime members to redeem their benefits at online stores outside Amazon.com.
  • Blaze Solutions Inc., a provider of point-of-sale and e-commerce technology to the cannabis industry, will make its services available through an integration with Metrc, a provider of regulatory technology for the same industry.
  • Brazilian financial watchdog Cade has ordered Apple Inc. to eliminate its restrictions on payment methods for in-app transactions, following up on a complaint filed in Brazil and Mexico in 2022 by MercadoLibre, an e-commerce processor, and aimed at Apple’s requirement that merchants use the tech company’s payments platform.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. will work with Mollie, a European fintech, to launch payments services for marketplace platforms on that continent.
  • The Payments Innovation Alliance, part of Nacha, the regulatory body for the automated clearing house network, published “Let’s Talk Turkey,” a guide to common frauds related to mobile devices.
