USA Technologies’ Rock Band Connection and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• The French rock band Phoenix will use payment technology from USA Technologies Inc. during the U.S. leg of its world tour to allow fans to buy merchandise from the band's vending machine, known as Super Mercato.



• Citigroup Inc. launched a Visa card in Hong Kong featuring a cash-back reward, including 2% on local dining and hotels and 1% on other local spending. It also has a 2% rebate on foreign-currency spending, which Citi says "effectively" wipes out the 1.95% currency transaction fee.

• Weebly Inc., a Web site platform, said it will integrate Apple Pay into its service for online stores.

• Point-of-sale software provider Brightpearl announced the debut of Brightpearl POS, a service for iOS devices. The company also announced its integration with the PayPal Here mobile card reader.

• Mobile imaging and identity-verification software provider Mitek Systems Inc. reported record revenues of $11.8 million in its third quarter of fiscal 2017 ended June 30, up 30% from $9.11 million a year earlier. Net income declined 17% to $616,000 on higher expenses.

• ACI Worldwide Inc. reported a second-quarter net loss of $29.8 million, a loss the payment technology provider said was affected by a previously disclosed $48 million legal judgment. Revenues increased 9% year-over-year to $240.6 million.
