  • E-commerce platform 3dcart said its integration with payments provider PayJunction now includes automated clearing house transaction processing, remote signature capture, and tokenized cards on file services.
  • In a bid to help merchants serve Japanese tourists, point-of-sale vendor Equinox Payments has added contactless support for JCB cards to its Apollo, L5000, and Luxe terminal lines.
  • In related news, VeriFone Systems Inc. said it is launching its first touch-screen countertop device in its Engage family of terminal products. The Engage V400c will be marketed first in North America and Europe, with payments provider Moneris Solutions Corp. among the first to market the device to merchants.
  • Payments-software provider Worldnet said it has worked with device-maker ID Tech to complete the first EMV Level 3 certification through First Data Corp. for ID Tech’s new VP8300 countertop device. The certification allows independent software vendors to cut the typical lead time for EMV certification from many months to a matter of days, according to Worldnet.
  • Smart-watch maker Fitbit Inc. announced it is making its Fitbit Versa model available at retail for $199.95. The Versa Special Edition supports mobile-wallet payments through Fitbit Pay, which embraces 60 banks and card issuers in 15 countries.
  • London Theatre Direct is the first U.K. ticket retailer to accept Amazon.com Inc.’s Amazon Pay online-payments service.

  • Mastercard Inc. announced Michael Froman, a former U.S. trade representative, is joining the company Monday as vice chairman for strategic growth.
